Middy Khong

Embedded Software Engineer | Web developer

Welcome to my personal website! I am a former CSIRO embedded software engineer with a background in Mechatronic engineering, allowing me to work across electronic, programming, and mechanical engineering fields.

My journey into engineering began during my university days when I crafted an up-down product counter. Then I did my internship at the Royal Hobart Hospital where I designed a mechanism for the automatic control of air blenders.

I continued my career as a research associate at the University of Tasmania. There, I focused on enhancing pattern recognition algorithms for prosthetic arms through implementing signal processing techniques for EMG signals.

My career then took me back to embedded systems at CSIRO, where I designed and developed automatic devices for marine research. I was promoted to lead engineer, managing projects from concept to deployment, providing crucial analytical reports on acoustic data. I also shared my knowledge through conducting training sessions for external partners. It was my honour to be recognised for my contributions with the Innovation Award in 2021 and the Out of the Building Award in 2020 at CSIRO.

Beyond my professional roles, I have pursued a passion for web development through self-learning. I am eager to explore its possibilities alongside my expertise in embedded systems.

Thank you for visiting my website, feel free to explore further and get in touch.
